I saw you for all of about six seconds
And I didn't acknowledge you the first time I saw you, or the first time you saw me, across the crowd, although I recognized you, saw the back of you, knew it instantly- but then you turned and you hugged me and you said you didn't have any explanation. You looked terrible. I said I never expected anything different from you and asked how your Christmas had been and you shrugged. Then I disappeared back into the crowd
